Coshoctonian

The Coshoctonian Award recognizes and honors an individual’s long-term contribution to the well being and economic climate of Coshocton County. Letters of nomination should be sent to the Coshocton County Chamber of Commerce, 106 S. 4th Street, Coshocton. All nominations should include an outline of the individual’s accomplishments as there are no nomination forms. All nominees must be residents of Coshocton County. A committee consisting of Chamber representatives, city and county officials, and previous award winner will select the recipient. Deadline for 2024 sumbissions is July 31st.

Young Leader of the Year

The Young Leader of the Year Award, sponsored by Central Ohio Technical College, recognizes the outstanding achievements and community involvement of young professionals in our area. To nominate someone, please submit a letter outlining the nominee’s achievements, involvement in the community and workplace, and reasons why they deserve this recognition. The nominee must be 40 years old or younger. Deadline for 2024 submissions is August 16th.

Small Business of the Year

The Small Business Award, sponsored by RHDD, recognizes exceptional businesses with fewer than 50 employees that have been operational for at least 5 years. Nominated by the public, this award celebrates the achievements and contributions of small businesses in our community. There are no formal forms to fill out; nominations can be submitted through a letter detailing why the business deserves the award, including information such as the year they opened, the number of employees, and their daily operations. Letters can be mailed to the Chamber office, located at 106 S. 4th Street, or emailed to amycrown@coshoctonchamber.com. The deadline for 2024 nominations is August 16th.

Employee of the Year

The Employee of the Year Award, established in 1997 and sponsored by the Coshocton Rotary Club in collaboration with the Coshocton County Chamber of Commerce, aims to recognize vocational excellence and the practice of high ethical standards in the workplace. This prestigious award will be presented at the Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner on Friday, September 13, 2024. Businesses may nominate more than one employee, but groups cannot be nominated. The nominee should not be in a management or supervisory position and must have been employed by the nominating firm for at least three years. Employers are encouraged to resubmit previous nominations for consideration. Deadline for 2024 submissions is August 16th.

Volunteer of the Year

The Volunteer of the Year Award recognizes and celebrates a Volunteer who has gone above and beyond in their Volunteer service within the Coshocton County community. The purpose of this award is to honor a Volunteer whose dedicated service has had a significant impact on the organization they serve and/or the community at large. The Kiwanis Club of Coshocton realizes the time commitment, dependability, generosity, and sacrifice volunteers provide to their organizations and community.  Kiwanis desires to recognize an outstanding volunteer annually at the Coshocton Chamber of Commerce Dinner. Deadline for 2024 sumbission is August 23rd.

First Responder of the Year

The Coshocton County First Responder Lifetime Achievement Award, created in 2017 and sponsored by the Coshocton County Commissioners in partnership with the Coshocton County Chamber of Commerce, aims to recognize the outstanding service and dedication of an individual committed to a First Responder profession. This prestigious award will be presented at the Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner each year. The nominee must be an individual in the Law Enforcement, Fire, or Emergency Medical Services field in Coshocton County and must reside in Coshocton County, Ohio. Additionally, the nominee must demonstrate a high moral and ethical standard while on and off duty. Nomination letters can be mailed to the Commissioners office at 401 Main Street, Coshocton OH 43812. The deadline for 2024 submissions is August 16th.
