Community Improvement Awards

Did you know that at each Chamber Quarterly Luncheon there are Community Improvement Awards presented to deserving businesses and organizations making improvements in Coshocton County? At our recent meeting Evan Fischer, Executive Board member presented two Community Improvement Awards.

Kayla Crozier, Owner of Mint Ivy Boutique was presented with a CIA for growing her business and moving into a store front on Main Street in West Lafayette. Kayla started her business on-line in 2018, but quickly grow into needing a retail space. Mint Ivy Boutique is located in the quaint village of West Lafayette, Ohio and offers women’s clothing, accessories and much more.

Amy Hasseman was presented with a Community Improvement Award for saving an old hotel on Main Street that has been beautifully renovated to the new Renaissance on Main listed on Airbnb. You can check out the availability by going to ChooseCoshocton.com. The Hasseman’s purchased the McDowell building located at 539 Main Street, Coshocton, Ohio in 2017 and was selected for the Ohio Historical Tax Credit program that helped with funding such a large project. The renovations were extensive and completed by all local contractors with supplies also being bought locally. The building is a beautiful example of hard work, a vision for bringing back a piece of local history, and what it takes to make our Main Street a thriving downtown that attracts people from all over the country and even the world. The Renaissance on Main has four retail storefronts and 14 apartments on two floors.
